It was a typical Saturday afternoon and with nothing to do, Liz sat in front of her television flipping through the channels endlessly. She was bored as usual as she sat alone in her small, one bedroom apartment. Usually, Liz would get on the internet and talk to the only people she considered friends. But, she wasn't in the mood for that.
Sighing, she popped in an old wrestling tape and smiled when she saw Kevin's face. Since the dinner, she'd taken to calling Kevin, "Pappa Wolf".
Tiger Rose had her music on loud and she was enjoying her time alone. She had also kept in touch with the women she'd met in Florida. And she was looking forward to the next dinner which was supposed to take place in Las Vegas some time in the future.
The other women, Bobbi, Penny, Pearl, Christy, and Reesy also kept in touch. They had connected at the dinner and now they were more like sisters. And of course, everyone kept in touch with Ali and Kat.
The famous, "Christmas Ball" finally reached Kevin and he smiled upon seeing it. It reminded him of that wonderful night in Florida when he'd met his fans and had dinner with them. He decided that it was time for another dinner since it'd been two years since the last one. He picked up the phone and placed a call to Kat.
After getting the gist of what Kevin wanted, Kat started organizing the second dinner. It was already May and she wanted to have everything set by November. It took four months to organize everything and another two months to get all the details worked out. By November, the dinner was scheduled and it was set to take place in Las Vegas.
All of the women who'd been in Florida were excited about the dinner except for Bobbi and Liz. Liz had barely enough money to get by and Bobbi was dealing with personal issues. They had confided in each other about this and both gave Kat their reasons for not attending, but she wouldn't have it.
She managed to talk them both into going, so Liz sold a few things to get the money together, while Bobbi already had enough to pay for the trip. She had just recently left a boyfriend and she was having a hard time dealing with this. Liz was going through the same thing, so she understood what Bobbi was going through.
Liz offered to do a few personal websites for people she knew to make some extra money. She managed to earn eight hundred dollars to spend in Las Vegas. But, she had no intentions of going to the casinos because she didn't like to gamble, so she knew she probably wouldn't be spending a lot of money.
Tiger Rose had packed early for the trip because she was excited about it. Pearl and Reesy had done the same thing. Penny took her time deciding what to bring and what not to bring. Christy had an easier time with this and packed right on time.
Kevin was surprised to learn that the only fans attending were the very same fans who'd attended the dinner in Florida, but he wasn't entirely disappointed, since he'd been hoping to see these same women again.
The weekend of the trip, every woman was at the airport in their city at one time or another waiting to board their flight. Kat and Ali had already landed in Vegas and were waiting dutifully at the airport for their arrival. By six in the evening, everyone had showed up, except for Liz. Once again, she couldn't be found. Everyone laughed about this but Liz wasn't laughing.
She'd gotten lost again, but not in the airport. She had been booked on the wrong flight and ended up in Oregon. She was currently arguing with security about this. Finally, someone managed to make sense of it all and they got her back on a plane heading to Las Vegas. Liz didn't arrive until later that night.
By seven, Kat was worried. She took the other women back to the hotel and returned to the airport, but Liz wasn't there. With no way to contact her, Kat had no choice but to return to the hotel. At ten minutes after nine, Liz finally landed in Las Vegas. She called Kat on her cell phone and told her what happened. Kat rushed to the airport to pick her up and bring her to the hotel. Once again, everyone had a good laugh over Liz getting lost, but she was tired and frustrated and ended up turning in early.
This time, Liz and Bobbi had agreed to share a room, while Penny and Pearl shared one. Tiger and Reesy also shared a room and Christy stayed in a room by herself, which she didn't mind much, because she had peace and quiet at night and was able to get some rest.
By morning, everyone was excited about being in Vegas. It was sure to be an exciting day for everyone. Kat surprised them all by announcing that Kevin would be spending not one, but two days with them, since he'd also booked a hotel room in Vegas. This was more than they could take.
"So, what's first?" Christy was quick to ask. "The casinos of course." Penny announced. Kat agreed and said that Kevin was looking forward to going to the casinos too. Liz lost her smile. She wanted to avoid the casinos. When everyone made plans to meet in front of the hotel, Liz said that she wouldn't be there.
"Why not?" Tiger asked. "I don't like gambling much. I'd just rather hang out at the hotel." Liz explained. Nobody was going to accept that though and Liz soon learned this. They talked her into going to the casinos, but they couldn't talk her into gambling. She followed everyone around like a lost puppy, watching them have a good time and for the second time, she felt completely out of place. Already, she was regretting her decision to come to Las Vegas.
Bobbi was enjoying herself for the most part, but she kept thinking about how alone she was now and once in a while, she would frown. The rest of the women had their share of personal problems, but they weren't going to let anything get in the way of enjoying a weekend with Kevin Nash. Scott Hall making an appearance just after eight was an added bonus and one that no one had expected.
Scott and Kevin together were terror twins, razzing people, making a fuss, and causing any kind of trouble they could. Of course, it was all in good fun and everyone laughed. Even Liz, who had been very quiet up to this point, had laughed at their antics. It was impossible not to.
After several hours in the casino, the ladies said goodnight to Kevin and returned to their rooms to get some sleep, but sleep was the last thing anyone wanted. They were all too excited about being in Vegas with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, so they spent the night talking out by the pool.
When morning came, none of the ladies got up right away. They were all exhausted from staying up late. When the ladies did finally meet for breakfast, they somehow ended up in a discussion about what it would be like to live together in one big house. Christy already lived in Florida and suggested that this would be a nice place for them all to live together.
Of course, no one was being serious at first. But when Christy mentioned that no one really had a reason for not moving to Florida, everyone gave it some serious thought and realized that she was right. "Should we really consider this?" Tiger asked. "I will." Bobbi said. "Yeah, me too. I can get a teaching job out here." Pearl agreed. Even Reesy agreed that it sounded tempting. Kontara agreed with the others, but Liz hadn't said anything yet.
"Come on, what reason do you have for saying no?" Bobbi asked her. Liz shrugged and smiled at her friend. "None, I suppose. It's just weird. I don't have a lot of money and I'm going back to school now and well..." She let her voice trail off.
"Listen, we know you've got it rough. Heck, we all do. That's why we should do this. We can all support each other." Christy commented. Liz finally agreed to think it over, so everyone returned to their rooms to give the new idea some thought.
"What am I supposed to do for money?" Liz asked Bobbi when they returned to their room. "I'm sure you'll find some kind of work out here. This is Florida after all." Bobbi remarked. "Well, I guess I could look into it." Liz replied.
Later that afternoon, the ladies met again. Christy had a pile of newspapers. "I thought we could look through these and see if there's anything interesting." She explained. "Will there be Florida properties in there?" Reesy asked. Christy nodded and handed her a newspaper. One by one, the group went through the newspapers. They found quite a few properties that seemed reasonable enough.
For Liz, this was happening way too fast. She knew she didn't have anything back in Philadelphia, but this was a big change and Liz wasn't good with change.
Bobbi had already decided that this would be a good move because having friends around would help her get over her feelings for her ex-boyfriend. And she wouldn't feel so lonely anymore.
By late evening, the ladies had six properties in various sections of Florida that they wanted to see. Four of the ladies had agreed that Tampa would be a great place to live. Nobody verbally mentioned that this was partly due to the fact that Kevin lived there, but they had all been thinking it.
The remaining two ladies were undecided about the location. One of those ladies was Liz. She was worried that moving to Tampa would seem a bit obvious to Kat and perhaps Kevin if he were to hear about it. Bobbi squelched her fears though and she agreed that Tampa sounded nice. That left Pearl who liked Orlando as much as she liked Tampa. But, she ultimately decided that Tampa was better because they'd be closer to Kevin.
That night during the dinner party, Kat asked the ladies what they'd done that day. When they told her, she was surprised and amused. "So, you're really thinking about moving in together?" She asked. "Well, not thinking, we've kind of decided to do it." Christy admitted. "And you've already found a place?" Ali asked. "Yeah, we looked through some newspapers today and found a few places that sound interesting." Pearl said. "Where are they?" Kat asked. "Tampa." Bobbi admitted. Ali and Kat laughed when they heard this. "I'm not surprised." Kat said.
The ladies enjoyed another evening with Kevin and Scott, listening to road stories and the like. The night was far from ordinary though because Scott turned out to be quite the comedian.
After that night, everyone went home and agreed to meet in Florida in a few months to check out some properties. Four months after the Vegas Dinner, everyone met at a hotel in Tampa. They contacted a real estate agency and explained what they were looking for. Then they went out and saw a few homes. After a full day of shopping for a house, they settled for one in Tampa, but they had no idea how close or far away from Kevin they were.
Arrangements were made and the money was put down on the house. Liz had found work after she returned home, so she had saved enough to put in her share. The rest of the ladies already had jobs, so they were able to put in their shares too. Once the papers were signed, everyone returned to the hotel to spend the night talking together.
Settlement on the house didn't go through for another two months, so everyone had gone home again. The next time they met in Florida, it was to move into their new home. On that night, the ladies decided to go shopping. While strolling through a local Tampa mall, they spotted the one person they thought they'd never see.
And apparently, having a good memory, he noticed them too.
None of the ladies wanted to appear intrusive, so they continued on acting as if they hadn't seen him, but he was curious as to why all of them were together in Tampa, so he wandered over to them.
"Hello ladies." He said, getting their attention. Bobbi immediately started to blush, while Pearl smiled brightly and said hello. Kontara also managed to say hello as did Reesy and Tiger. Christy also said hello. Liz managed to get a hi in, but she looked all around her, avoiding making eye contact with him.
"What are you all doing in Tampa, if you don't mind me asking?" He said.
"Well, we decided to move here." Kontara blurted out. "Yeah, we got a big house." Tiger added.
"All of you?" He asked.
Everyone nodded. "So, you’re like a kliq now, huh?" Kevin asked, an obvious attempt at a joke, which was more like a pun. "Yeah, I guess you could say that." Tiger agreed.
"The Kliq sisters." Christy remarked and Pearl laughed. "Sounds good to me." Kevin said. "So, you all moved out here to be closer to me, huh?" He asked. "Well, not exactly. I mean, that's not the only reason." Bobbi admitted. "We liked it here." Kontara explained. "Yeah, it's nice out here in Tampa." Tiger agreed.
Kevin spoke to the ladies for a few minutes before departing for home, having decided that he'd had enough of shopping.
"Can you believe we just ran into Kevin?" Bobbi asked when the ladies were alone again. "I know, who would've thought we'd run into him in the mall." Reesy agreed. "I'm sure we'll see him again. Now let's finish shopping." Christy suggested. Everyone continued their shopping for another hour before returning to their new home.
Over the next several weeks, the ladies got settled, each securing a job in their prospective fields. Even Liz managed to find a job working at home like she'd wanted. This way she could finish school and earn money at the same time.
The ladies invited Kat and Ali to visit, so they stopped by one day while they were in Tampa on business. Kat got a call from Kevin while she was there and ended up explaining where she was. When he heard, he suggested everyone meeting for a casual dinner that night. Kat suggested it to the ladies who all agreed that it was a good idea, everyone except for Liz who decided not to go.
Bobbi and Christy tried to talk her into it, but she declined and stayed behind.
At dinner that night, Kevin was his usual outgoing self and fed everyone a bunch of amusing stories, which they all found interesting. He got to know them a little better and mentioned the Kliq sisters, which had everyone laughing. Christy had been fooling around, but the name kind of stuck that night.
Later, after everyone had eaten, the ladies decided to call it a night, but they invited Kevin, Kat, and Ali back to their house. When they got there, Bobbi was the first to enter the house. She saw Liz on the phone, her eyes full of tears and panicked because Kevin was on his way up to the front door.
Quickly, she rushed over to Liz and whispered in her ear. "Kevin's here." Liz jumped up and ran up the stairs with the phone so he wouldn't see her crying.
"Nice." Kevin said when he got inside. "Thanks." Christy replied. She decided to give Kevin a tour of the place, while everyone else made themselves comfortable. Bobbi suddenly remembered that Liz was in her room crying.
"How many bedrooms are in this house?" Kevin asked. "Five." Christy replied. "Bobbi and I share a room. Pearl shares a room with Kontara, Tiger, Reesy, and Liz have their own rooms." Christy explained.
When they passed by Liz's room, Christy stopped for a moment. "Sounds like someone's crying." Kevin said. "This is Liz's room." Christy said. "Lil Wolf?" Kevin asked. Christy nodded and led him down the hall.
Liz hung up the phone and went to the bathroom after making sure that no one was in the hall. She washed her face and cleaned up a bit before going down to get a drink.
"Are you okay?" Bobbi asked. "Yeah, fine." Liz said. "Who were you on the phone with?" Bobbi asked. Liz frowned when she thought of the phone call. "It was nothing." She said, deciding not to tell Bobbi who she'd been talking to.
Kevin and Christy came downstairs and spotted Liz sitting on the couch. Kevin could tell that she'd been crying and wondered why, but he didn't ask. Instead, he entertained his new friends for a while before he decided to leave. The ladies invited him to come again and he promised he would.
The weeks seemed to go by endlessly. Every week the ladies would get together in the living room to watch Kevin on TNA. They never missed a show and decided to attend a live event two months after they moved to Tampa.
They got front row seats and told Kat about going. She informed Kevin that they would be there, so he promised to acknowledge them. The event was exciting and Kevin was his usual thingyy self, which had the ladies amused. He went over and said hello to them while he was out by the ring.
A week after that event, Kevin came to visit again. Bobbi and Christy cooked dinner that night, while the other ladies sat with Kevin and talked. They really were becoming a Kliq of sorts and Kevin was becoming the ringleader.
Liz was unusually quiet again, which had Bobbi worried. She'd been okay up until she'd gotten that phone call and she never told anyone who she'd been talking to.
